Trumbull Board Of Finance Chairman Runs For State Senate Seat TRUMBULL, Conn. — Republicans have selected Elaine Hammers, chairman of Trumbull's Board of Finance, to run against incumbent Marilyn Moore for the 22nd State Senate District, according to Connecticut Post. Hammers served in the state House of Representatives in the 1990s for a single term, Connecticut Post reported. Woodside Hosts Multilingual Poetry Café PEEKSKILL, N.Y. -- Woodside Elementary School recently hosted its 1st Annual Multilingual Poetry Café in honor of National Poetry Month. Thirty-eight kindergarten and first grade students performed an original or favoritepoems at the Poetry Café before parents, teachers, administrators and staff.
