CubeSmart Caper: Man Robbed 89 Norwalk Storage Units, Stealing Guns, Valuables, Police Say
Police say a Hamden man is behind one of Norwalk’s largest storage burglaries.
Tylon Gardner, 35, of Hamden, was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 10, after a yearlong investigation into a break-in at Cubesmart on Bouton Street in Norwalk.
Authorities said 89 storage units were entered, and among the stolen items were firearms.
Detective Barron led the case. Investigators said the work stretched across months of video review, search warrants, and coordination with other law enforcement agencies.

A 38-year-old man bit a driver during a violent carjacking in Lower Paxton Township, police announced on Tuesday, Sept. 10.
Brady Rhydall Williams, 38, of Harrisburg, forcibly pulled a driver from his vehicle on the 6000 block of Meade Court around 10:40 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 8, according to the Lower Paxton Bureau of Police.
As the victim resisted, Williams bit the driver on the shoulder before fleeing in the stolen vehicle, police said.

On Saturday, Sept. 6, at approximately 10:13 p.m., Garfield Police Officers responded to Chase Bank at 136 Passaic Street for a report of a suspicious man inside the ATM vestibule, according to Capt. Mario Pozo.
