On Sunday, July 23, 2023 at 3:25 a.m., Edward Johnston was intoxicated and driving 107 miles per hour on White Horse Pike when his vehicle crashed into the back of a parked vehicle, where Javier Velez, a Philadelphia resident, was sleeping while his father and brother were fishing, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said.
