Duo Arrested After One Flees Scene, Locked Himself In LI Restaurant Bathroom
Two Long Island men were arrested for alleged outstanding warrants and for one fleeing the scene and locking himself in a nearby restaurant bathroom.
Joshua Mordi, 23, of Valley Stream, and Deonte O'Connor, 23, of Uniondale, were arrested around 4:25 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 19 in Elmont, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, officers observed Mordi commit multiple violations while driving a red 2001 Acura northbound on Meacham Avenue.

A Long Island woman was arrested after allegedly attacking a police officer following a crash in which she could not provide proof of ownership of the Mercedes-Benz.
Charmaine Grant, 22, of West Hempstead, was arrested around 11:20 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 17 in East Garden City, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, officers were dispatched for a disturbance that occurred on Oak Street. Upon their arrival, they found a damaged black 2002 Mercedes Benz that had hit the median barrier.

Two men were arrested for drugs and one for attacking and injuring two police officers during a traffic stop associated with a countywide drug operation on Long Island.
Jonathan M. Burwell, 30, and Brian Jacobs, 33, both of Hogansburg in upstate Franklin County near the Canadian border, were arrested around 10:50 p.m., on Wednesday, October 28, in Bethpage, said the Nassau County Police.

A man and woman are both facing multiple charges after becoming combative with responding officers on Long Island, police said.
The incident happened Saturday, June 20 at around noontime in Westbury.
Officers were responding to a report of a woman, now identified as Courtney Stapleford, 28, of Brooklyn who was yelling and banging on the front doors of several residences near the intersection of Carle Road and Jericho Turnpike, Nassau County Police said.
