A sexual assault investigation involving a victim taken in their own vehicle has led to multiple felony charges against a Lancaster man, police announced on Friday, April 10.
Ronald Shubert, 57, was charged following an investigation into an alleged assault reported at Lancaster General Hospital around 3:35 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, according to the Lancaster City Bureau of Police.
The victim told officers the assault happened in the early morning hours of Friday, Jan. 9, police said.

Police said they were called to the CVS on Route 100 in Somers around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25, along with local police, after someone reported two people acting suspiciously, New York State Police said on Thursday, Feb. 26.

A speeding 22-year-old Fairfield County man was charged with allegedly driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license.
Pedro Jesus Aguilar Madrid, of Stamford, was stopped on Thursday, Nov. 23, in Wilton driving a Ford Fusion for driving 68 mph in a 30 mph zone, said Wilton Police.
During the stop, Madrid was found to be under the influence of alcohol, said Lt. Anna Tornello, of the Wilton Police.
Tornello said in addition, Madrid's driver's license was suspended, due to a previous DUI arrest.

A 24-year-old man is facing years in prison for hitting and killing a Long Island woman while driving drunk and high on marijuana.
Wade Gagliano, of Ronkonkoma, pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter in Suffolk County Court on Thursday, Nov. 30, in the death of Adrienne Wagner.
According to prosecutors, Gagliano was driving an SUV westbound on Johnson Avenue near Ocean Avenue in Ronkonkoma when he struck Wagner at around 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 14, 2022, as she crossed the street.
Wagner, age 67, of Ronkonkoma, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Basher Bajes, 38, of the Burlington County town of Palmyra, was initially stopped by Officer Matthew Hearon at the eastbound Morlot Avenue exit from northbound Route 208 shortly after 1 a.m. Thursday, Oct 19, Sgt. Eric Eleshewich said.

Casey W. Kirsch, age 33, of Weymouth, was arrested and charged with negligent homicide and driving under the influence after he crashed a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, throwing his passenger out of the vehicle and inflicting fatal injuries on Sunday, July 23, according to the New Hampshire State Police.
