A juvenile has been charged after another juvenile was fatally struck by a vehicle while riding his bike in Brick Tuesday, May 19, authorities said.
At 6:50 a.m., Brick police responded to Lanes Mill Road and Rhode Island Avenue after a juvenile cyclist was struck by a speeding 2021 BMW, which subsequently fled the scene, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said.
The juvenile, who has not been identified was pronounced dead at the scene, Billhimer said.

A bicyclist was killed in an early-morning crash on Route 134 in Westchester, police said.
The collision happened in Yorktown around 7:47 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 14, when a male cyclist was struck by a vehicle in the roadway, according to Yorktown Police.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending notification of his family.
