Residents Escape Blaze That Ripped Through Attic In Walden All residents were able to get out safely after a fire broke out in the attic of a home in Orange County early Sunday morning, July 6, authorities said.  The blaze happened at 454 St. Andrews Rd. in the village of Walden around 5:56 a.m., according to the Walden Fire Department.   Two minutes after the initial dispatch, fire officials arrived to find heavy smoke pouring from the attic windows on two sides of the house. Tree Falls Onto I-87 In Woodbury, Causes Crash Emergency responders raced to the New York Thruway in Orange County over the weekend after a tree fell on the interstate, causing a crash in the process.  The incident happened on Saturday, July 5, when a tree collapsed into I-87 South in Woodbury near mile marker 47.1, according to the Woodbury Fire Department.  A car then collided with the tree. Minor injuries were reported.  The incident caused traffic backups in the area as crews responded to the crash.
