She has a bachelor's degree in English from Stony Brook University and a Master's degree in publishing from Pace University. She married with four teenage children and is a competitive runner and avid exerciser.

State Police Dog, Partner Of Bridgeport Trooper, Receives Bulletproof Vest BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Connecticut State Police K9 Nero, whose partner is Trooper First Class Michael Beauton of Troop G in Bridgeport, has received a bulletproof and stab-protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from nonprofit organization Vested Interest in K9s Inc. 2 University Of Bridgeport Students Awarded Engineering Honor Scholarships BRIDGEPORT, Conn. -- Two University of Bridgeport School of Engineering students have won scholarships from Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE), the international honors society for students majoring in computing and information disciplines. Wafa Elmannai, a doctoral student of computer science and engineering, was one of three students in the U.S. to win a $2,500 UPE Executive Council Award. New Canaan Flag Football Players Wear Pink For Breast Cancer Awareness NEW CANAAN, Conn. -- Starting Saturday, over 200 New Canaan Flag Football players in grades 2 to 8 will be showing support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month by wearing pink items.
