Upper Saddle River Girl Scout Strives For Silver SADDLE RIVER, N.J -- Juliette Voskian, an Upper Saddle River Girl Scout, is organizing and running a diaper drive for her Girl Scout Silver community service project. It will run until the end of March. Voskian is a seventh-grader at Cavallini Middle School and a member of Troop 5528. She's collecting unopened packages of diapers and will deliver them to the Child and Family Resources Center, in Mount Arlington. The Center will distribute those diapers to families in need. Passaic Gifted And Talented Applications Available PASSAIC COUNTY, N.J. -- Passaic parents and students can apply for the district's Gifted and Talented program until Feb. 26. Some grades must complete a writing sample and all students must attend an audition for entrance into the program. Clifton Breakfast Supports Rainbow Girls Fundraiser CLIFTON, N.J. -- The Clifton Masonic Lodge will host a breakfast fundraiser Sunday, Feb. 21 for the Clifton Assembly No. 16 Rainbow Girls. The menu includes pancakes, eggs, ham, sausage, home fries, toast, juice, coffee and tea. An $8 donation is suggested. The fundraiser is from 9 a.m. to noon. Wayne Valley Hockey Team Wins Mayor's Cup WAYNE, N.J. -- The Wayne Valley High School varsity ice hockey team won the Mayor's Cup on Friday, Feb. 5. The Indians beat the rival Wayne Hills Patriots 6-2. Gary Ragusa scored two goals for Wayne Valley. The win also qualified the team for the upcoming state tournament. The Indians are 10-10-3 on the season.
