Car Carrier Catches Fire On Rt 283 In Dauphin County (

A car carrier caught fire on Route 283 on Monday morning, Sept. 30, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The call to fire came into the Dauphin County Department of Public Safety at 8:03 a.m. Fire crews responded to a tractor fire on Route 283 East at the Middletown Road Exit in Dauphin County Monday morning. There was a lane restriction in the area. The tractor of the car carry was hollowed out by the fire, as seen in PennDOT's 511PA traffic cameras. No injuries have been reported at the time of publishing.

Teen On Bicycle Suffers Serious Injuries In Pittsgrove Crash, Troopers Say
A teen riding a bicycle was seriously injured when they were hit by a car in Pittsgrove, authorities said. The 14-year-old was struck on County Route 553 on Tuesday, Aug. 27, a state police spokesperson said. Troopers responded to the crash near milepost 27.7 at around 11:35 a.m. Investigators said the teen left a parking lot and didn't yield to traffic. The Audi was traveling north and crashed into the bicycle. The teen was brought to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. No one in the Audi was injured. The crash remained under investigation.

A 50-year-old hit-and-run driver was arrested after police say he led a pursuit along Route 17 last week. Vincent Vespe, of Montvale, struck another vehicle in a white Toyota Tacoma in Wood-Ridge on Aug. 19, Lyndhurst Police Detective Lt. Vincent Auteri said. A vehicle fire impacted traffic on the new Tappan Zee Bridge off the shore of Westchester County. The blaze happened on Thursday, Aug. 22 just before 11 a.m., when a truck caught on fire in the northbound lanes of I-87 on the bridge near the Tarrytown shore, according to the New York State Thruway Authority. One person was injured in a three-car crash on Route 80 in Parsippany on the morning of Thursday, Aug. 8, authorities said. At 11:52 a.m., troopers responded to Route 80 eastbound at mile 42 for the collision between three passenger vehicles, Jeffrey Lebron, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. A driver sustained minor injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital, Lebron said. The crash remains under investigation, Lebron said.
