A 22-year-old Jersey City man was arrested and charged after multiple weapons were found in his position following a traffic stop in Fairfield Monday, Sept. 1, authorities said.
At 8:13 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on Route 46 East, Fairfield police said. While speaking with the driver, Bojian Zhang, officers observed a machete on the floor of the vehicle, police said.

A woman wanted on an active bench warrant faces drug charges after she was caught with fentanyl and heroin during a traffic stop on the Taconic State Parkway in Dutchess County, police said.
The arrest happened in LaGrange on Saturday, Aug. 30, at around 3 a.m., New York State Police announced on Monday, Sept. 1.
There, troopers stopped a northbound vehicle for a traffic violation and identified the front seat passenger as 29-year-old Ila M. Janus of Rhinebeck, who was wanted on an active bench warrant, authorities said.
