Man Found Dead In Backyard Pool In Kings Park Identified: Police
A man was found dead in a backyard swimming pool in Kings Park, Suffolk County police announced on Monday, May 18. Antonio Bonilla Jr., 47, was discovered unresponsive in an inground pool behind his Linden Avenue home at approximately 3:30 p.m., according to Suffolk County Police. Bonilla Jr., who lived at the home on the 22 block of Linden Avenue, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Man Dies After Being Pulled From Pool: Colts Neck PD
A 77-year-old man died after he was pulled from a swimming pool on Saturday, Aug. 16, authorities said. At 12:30 p.m., officers and EMS responded to a residence in Colts Neck and found an unconscious man in a swimming pool, Colts Neck police said. Emergency personnel promptly initiated life-saving measures, and the man, who was not identified by police was transported to Bayshore Medical Center for further medical treatment, police said. He was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said. The incident remains under investigation, police said.

A 2-year-old girl nearly drowned in Washington Township on Tuesday, July 22, authorities said. At 6:13 p.m., officers responded to a residence on Spring Lake Avenue for a report of a possible drowning in a backyard swimming pool with CPR instructions being given over the phone, Washington Township police said. Officers were on the scene within two minutes and the toddler was alert and conscious, police said. The toddler was transported to a nearby hospital as a precaution, police said.
