A wanted fugitive rolling through Stafford in a bright red Chevy Blazer found out the hard way that you can’t hide in plain sight.
Allen Weathers, 46, of Colonial Beach, was busted Thursday morning, March 27, by Stafford County deputies who had been tracking him for multiple outstanding felony probation violation warrants out of Stafford, Spotsylvania, and King George counties, the sheriff’s office said.
Around 11 a.m. on Thursday, deputies spotted his unmistakable getaway ride near the 800 block of Kellogg Mill Road and quickly confirmed he was behind the wheel.

A 23-year-old man was killed after being ejected from his SUV during a crash on Interstate 295 in Gloucester County, authorities said.
Jose Contreras, of Hammonton, was heading north in an Isuzu Ascender and was approaching the Exit 11A ramp when he lost control navigating a curve just after 10:45 p.m. Saturday, March 22 in Logan Township, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron said.

A 21-year-old man from Garfield was shot and killed in Paterson late Saturday afternoon, March 22, authorities said.
The shooting happened around 5:05 p.m., near 12th Avenue and East 24th Street, according to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray.

Pedestrian Killed In Amityville Crash: Police
A pedestrian was fatally struck by an SUV in North Amityville early Saturday morning, March 15, according to Suffolk County police.
Richard Moffatt, 30, of Amityville, was driving a 2021 Mazda SUV southbound in the left lane of Broadway near Francine Avenue when he hit the pedestrian at 12:13 a.m., authorities said.
The victim, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Moffatt was not injured in the crash, and his vehicle was impounded for a safety check, police said.
