An investigation into an alleged Putnam County drug dealer led to the arrest of a 22-year-old Carmel man who was caught with heroin and other drugs during a bust. A Putnam County Sheriff’s deputy assigned to the Narcotics Enforcement Unit received information in September last year that Carmel resident Carlos Priego was involved in the sale of heroin and prescription narcotics in the Hudson Valley. LODI, N.J. -- A Lodi couple running a drug trafficking operation from their home had 11½ pounds of cocaine and more than 1,900 pills for sale when Paterson police nabbed them and a Prospect Park accomplice with help from the DEA, authorities said. Simulataneous raids on a private house at the corner of Keasler Avenue and McGuire Place in Lodi and a North 10th Street apartment in Prospect Park turned up the cocaine, as well as Xanax (949 pills), Zolpidem (483) and Oxycodone (130), Paterson Police Director Jerry Speziale said. Father Faces Charges After 1-Year-Old Eats Drugs In Norwalk
A 29-year-old man with a criminal record was arrested after a 1-year-old child ingested drugs at his Woodbury Avenue home, according to The Hour. The incident took place Jan. 16 when the child was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital for an unknown medical problem. Tests showed that the child had the drug suboxone in its system, the newspaper said. Police Track Down Stolen Vehicle Suspect In Yorktown
A man driving a stolen car while in possession of narcotics took officers on a brief chase on Route 6N before being apprehended, according to the Yorktown Police Department. Following information provided regarding the direction the suspect took off in from Cromwell Circle, police were able to track down the stolen car on Route 6N in Mahopac. Police said that the officers attempted to stop the driver - later identified as 33-year-old Shaun Noone of Yorktown - though he initially refused to stop. A 22-year-old Carmel man was arrested in Putnam County after selling pills to an undercover deputy, according to Putnam County Sheriff Robert L. Langley Jr. Jamie J. Mclean was arrested Thursday, Jan. 11, by a deputy with the Narcotics Enforcement Unit after he developed information that Mclean was involved in the sale of prescription drugs, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Office. HACKENSACK, N.J. -- A disbarred lawyer from Hackensack with a history of drug arrests was busted again by city police.
