Mahopac High School softball ace Shannon Becker struck out a state record 21 of 21 batters she faced in a record-setting performance against rival Carmel, allowing no baserunners during her perfect game. Becker and Mahopac easily won the game over Carmel 8-0. During the game, Becker was tossing the ball more than 60 mph, which is the equivalent of a mid-90s fastball in baseball.
