The crashes happened in Yorktown on Sunday evening, Jan. 19 amid a snowstorm, the Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department said on Tuesday, Jan. 21. The wrecks happened on the Taconic State Parkway and on Underhill Avenue, the department said. More information about injuries and the causes of both crashes was not immediately available.

Storm Knocks Power To Thousands In North Jersey Thousands of residents in northern New Jersey were without power as of Tuesday, Feb. 13 amid the snow storm that dropped several inches on the region. The JCP&L outage map shows 2,390 had no power in Warren County, mainly in Harmony Twp., Lopatcong, Phillipsburg, Pohatcong, and White Township as of 11:35 a.m. In Somerset County, nearly 900 residents had no power, mostly in Branchburg (790). Nearly 1,500 Hunterdon County residents were also in the dark. Those residents without power are mainly residents of Clinton, Holland, Lebanon, and Readington. Restoration times varied.
