Two Mount Joy Teens Charged For School Threats: Police
Two 15-year-old Mount Joy boys posting threats on social media which lead to a school closure have been charged, police say. "Officers determined that two juveniles conspired to post these while sharing ideas via an online chat and used another student's name to post the threats," Mount Joy borough police stated in a post on Friday, January 20, 2023. "Due to the nature of the threats, the decision was made to close the school the next day." A Maryland elementary school was forced to close early on Thursday morning due to an overnight fire. Baltimore County Public School officials announced that Sparks Elementary School on Belfast Road had to close at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27 due to fumes from an overnight fire at a nearby farm close to I-83. At 12:36 AM @HerefordFire was alerted to an outside fire on Cold Bottom Rd near I-83. A pile of hale bales was found on fire.The fire is under control but is not out. Power Outage Causes Closure At High School In Hudson Valley
A high school in the Hudson Valley is closed on Tuesday, Sept. 13 due to a power outage. In Orange County, Warwick Valley High School is closed for both in-person and remote learning due to the power outage caused by a blown transformer, the Warwick Valley Central School District announced.
