Tesla Rear-Ends Box Truck On NJ Turnpike: State Police
A box truck crash on the New Jersey Turnpike held up traffic Tuesday afternoon, March 11. An Isuzu box truck parked on the right shoulder of the northbound lanes was rear-ended by a Tesla passenger vehicle, also heading north, which had lost control around 1:15 p.m., New Jersey State Police Trooper Troy McNair said. It happened at milepost 109.7 in Kearny Township. Minor injuries were reported and both drivers were taken to an area hospital. The crash remains under investigation and there is no additional information available.

Overturned Dump Truck Shuts Route 18
A dump truck overturned on Route 18 South in Monmouth County, shutting down the road during morning rush hour, authorities said. The NJDOT said it happened in Marlboro south of exit 30 and Route 9 at around 8:11 a.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 12. The dump truck spilled what appeared to be small rocks in a picture posted on Facebook by the Marlboro Township Police Department. Jersey Shore Driver Charged In DWI Crash That Injured Trooper In Construction Zone
A 25-year-old woman from the Jersey Shore has been charged with driving while intoxicated in a construction zone crash with a parked New Jersey State Police patrol car, authorities said. Ithai Balderas-Gonzalez, of Ocean, was arrested after the crash in which a trooper suffered moderate injuries, according to Trooper Troy McNair, a State Police spokesman. A New Jersey State trooper suffered moderate injuries when his parked cruiser was struck by a car in a construction zone, authorities said. Crash Causes Large Backup On Route 9
Traffic was backed up for about a mile after a crash on US Route 9 in Old Bridge Township on Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 3. The NJDOT says the crash happened on US 9 North just before 1 p.m. Crews responded to the crash and a fluid spill. Two lanes were closed on US 9 to the interchange with New Jersey Route 18. A traffic camera showed about a ten-minute delay on US 19 more than an hour after the crash was reported. There's no word yet about how many vehicles were in the crash or if anyone was injured.

Crews Hoist Vehicle That Veered Off Garden State Parkway
A vehicle that veered off of the Garden State Parkway in Toms River was hoisted back on the roadway on Wednesday, Jan. 3. The NJDOT says it happened north of the Toms River toll plaza just after 8:30 a.m. A traffic camera showed a car lifted onto a tow truck bed near mile marker 85 about 90 minutes after the incident was first reported. A crash investigation closed all lanes of Route 88 in Brick Township Tuesday evening, Dec. 26, the NJDOT website says. The crash happened around 8 p.m. on the eastbound side near Jack Martin Boulevard, the DOT said. A 10 minute delay was being reported as of 8:55 p.m.
