60 Displaced By Massive Lanham Fire
Nearly 60 people were displaced and three hospitalized in a fire that tore through an apartment complex in Lanham overnight, officials said. The blaze broke out just before 2 a.m. at the complex on the 6800 block of Riverdale Road. Crews found fire showing on the second floor. The fire extended to the roof and a third alarm was initiated. Two civilians and a firefighter were hospitalized with minor injuries, WUSA9 reports. A Maryland man is in the hospital after being injured in a DUI-related crash in Pennsylvania earlier this month, authorities said. Coskun Uslu, of Lanham, was seriously injured after a drunk driver collided with the vehicle Uslu was in, Pennsylvania State Police said. The driver of the car, Madeline Stoken, of Carlisle, was later arrested and charged with a DUI, police said. 1 Dead In Lanham Apartment Stabbing: Police
One person is dead in an apparent stabbing at a Lanham apartment, authorities said. Police responded to for a reported stabbing in the 9900 block of Greenbelt Road around 1:20 a.m. on Monday, March 28, Prince George’s Police said. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male inside one apartment suffering from trauma to the upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run crash in Prince George’s County, authorities said. Police responded to a report of a pedestrian struck on the north side of Branch Avenue (Route 5) and south of the Capital Beltway shortly after 1:45 a.m. on Monday, March 21, MDSP said. A Maryland victim of a "Grandparent Scam" swindled out of thousands of dollars is speaking out, and police are cracking down on the suspect. The Prince George’s County Police Department received three reports of this scam since Jan. 20. In two of those cases, the scammers successfully stole thousands of dollars from their victims. Authorities ID Victim Killed In 'Good Luck Road' Crash
The Prince George's County Police Department is investigating a fatal collision in Lanham. Gladys Addrah, 65, of Upper Marlboro was killed in the accident that happened on Dec. 31, 2021, in the 9300 block of Good Luck Road, according to police. The new year was off to a tragic start in Prince George's County where one person died in a crash on New Year's Eve. The crash occurred on a street called "Good Luck Road," in Lanham, right up the street from Luminis Health. A female was pronounced dead at the scene just before 12:50 a.m., authorities confirmed. Shooting In Prince George's County Leave 1 Dead, 2 Others Injured
Police in Prince George's County are investigating a shooting that left two men injured and another man dead on Dec. 27. The shooting happened in the 9900 block of Good Luck Road in Lanham around 4:00 p.m. Investigators are still unclear as to what incited it. Three people were hit in the shooting, according to Prince George's County Police Department, two men were injured and taken to the hospital in critical condition, the third died of his injuries while at the hospital.
