A multi-million dollar project to improve safety at a busy Dutchess County intersection has been completed. The New York State Department of Transportation announced that crews have completed a $2.9 million project to reduce congestion and enhance safety at the intersection of Route 376 and Robinson Lane/Lake Walton Road in East Fishkill. A multi-million dollar project to realign Routes 172 and 117 in Mount Kisco has kicked off in earnest. Expect Closures: Construction Work On Routes 7, 104, 111 Starts
There will be overnight lane closures throughout Connecticut, as contractors with the Connecticut Department of Transportation install rumble strips in various town. Beginning on Monday, Aug. 15, motorists can expect closures on Route 111 near Historic Drive to Old Church Road in Monroe. There will also be closures on Route 104 north of Butternut Lane in Stamford and on Route 7 in Wilton from Olmstead Hill Road toward Old Mill Road. Renovations Begin At 95-Year-Old Fire Station In Westchester
A 95-year-old fire station is getting a long-awaited facelift in Westchester. Renovations at Fire Station 2 on Webster Avenue in New Rochelle have begun, marking the first upgrade for the building - which was constructed in 1923 -since the 1980s.
