A popular home ice crusher is being recalled because it can catch on fire, federal officials said.
Sanven Technology recalled about 11,650 Vevor Ice Crushers, the Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Thursday, Dec. 11. The machines can overheat during use, creating what officials described as a "thermal event" that can ignite.
Two "thermal events" have been reported, including one fire, according to the CPSC. The ice crushers were sold in yellow, red, silver, and blue, each with a label on top showing the Vevor name and model number.

Calico Brands is recalling about 175,000 Scripto Premium Torches, the Consumer Product Safety Commission said on Thursday, Oct. 9. The torches violate mandatory safety standards for multipurpose lighters, creating a risk of serious injury or death.
No incidents or injuries have been reported, according to the CPSC. The recall covers the torches with a four-position adjustable metal nozzle, adjustable flame, hands-free operation lock, black non-slip rubber grip, and a metal base with a velvet bottom.
