Old Bridge police bear no responsibility in the death of a township man in custody while he was high on drugs, a state grand jury found.
Frank Zampini, 49, was “flailing his arms around” and fighting with a neighbor who was trying to restrain him when officers arrived at the Stratford Apartments on Arcade Lane shortly before 1 a.m. July 15, 2019, Acting Attorney General Andrew J. Bruck said.

A man was arrested Wednesday after a raid of an Allentown home found an extensive amount of drugs, a rifle, and cash, authorities said.
Detectives served a search warrant for a home in the 800 block of North Sherman Street at approximately 6:10 a.m., according to Allentown police.

Lyndhurst police found a local motorist blocking a resident's driveway asleep at the wheel with LSD and other drugs, authorities said.
Responding to a resident’s 2 a.m. call over the Labor Day weekend, Officer Matt Dudek found the Chevy sedan still running with Kevin DeMuro, 28, in the driver’s seat, Detective Lt. Vincent Auteri said.
Also found in the vehicle were eight tabs of LSD, five strips of Suboxone and one Ecstasy pill, he said.

Jonathon Hornbaker, 35, was stopped for a violation on August 17, Warren County Prosecutor James L. Pfeiffer said in a release Tuesday with other county officials.

A Fairfield County man has been busted for allegedly selling Ecstasy to teens through Snapchat, causing some to need medical attention.
Farhaan Rajput, age 20, of Greenwich, was arrested on Tuesday, March 2, by Greenwich Police after the department's Narcotics Section obtained information that he was allegedly selling to teens in Greenwich, Captain Mark E. Zuccerella said.

A Fairfield County man with a long history with the Stamford Police Department, including being arrested for his involvement in the death of two people during a crash, has been arrested again.
Jerry Diaz, 20, of Stamford, was arrested by Stamford Police around 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 16, in what started as a call for a harassment complaint at 27 High Ridge Road, said Sgt. Jeffrey Booth.

Two women and a man accused of selling heroin and ecstasy were arrested following a traffic stop in Sussex County Wednesday, authorities said.
Lisa M. Repici, 31, of Newton, Dominick J. Wilson, 34, of Paterson and Shaunamarie C. Orlando, 30, of Wantage were charged with various possession and distribution offenses for heroin and ecstasy after the Newton stop, police said.
