A man has been charged with making sexual contact with a child multiple times at a Long Island store. The arrest was made on Thursday, Oct. 7 by the Nassau County Police Special Victims Squad after an investigation following the incident at around 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19. A Dollar Tree employee has been charged after shooting a customer at the Swatara Township location on Tuesday. Police have charged Mykel Eugene George, 21 of Harrisburg, in connection with the shooting in the 3200 block of Paxton Street just before 8:30 p.m., say Swatara Township police. A person was shot at a Harrisburg area Dollar Tree on Tuesday night, say police. Swatara Township police were called to a reported shooting at the store located at 3243 Paxton Street at around 8:19 p.m. The victim was transported to a local hospital by a civilian. Police are asking the public for help identifying a woman who allegedly stole more than $100 from an 11-year-old girl's wallet in Western Mass. The incident took place around 11:20 a.m., Sunday, May 23, in Hampshire County at the Dollar Tree store in Ware. The girl left her pink wallet in a shopping basket, Ware Police said, and exited the store with her father. Dollar Tree announced it will be shutting down one of its Long Island stores by the end of the month. The Deer Park location on Commack Road will close by the middle of January, a company spokesperson announced. When it closes its doors, there will be 50 Dollar Tree stores remaining on Long Island, with at least two more scheduled to open later this year. Dollar Tree is closing at least 390 Family Dollar stores and will rebrand 200 others, the company announced in releasing its fiscal fourth-quarter earnings this week.
