Minibike Fails Rider In Race With Stafford Cops
A minibike operator who told police he fled a traffic stop because he thought he could get away, didn't, authorities in Stafford said.
Stafford County Deputy AT Leckemby was heading east on Garrisonville Road near Onville Road when he noticed a minibike with no lights on it around 8:35 p.m. Nov. 23, the Stafford County sheriff's office said in a release.
The operator, later identified as Gunther Raimund, 24, looked back at Leckemby when he initiated a traffic stop, then hit the gas, authorities said.

A former nurse who admitted to stealing opioids from her patients and a locked medicine cabinet at two Boston-area hospitals will not serve any jail time, federal authorities announced.
Lisa Tarr, 33, of St. Petersburg, Fla., was sentenced to five years of probation, with the first year being spent in home detention, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said. Tarr pleaded guilty last year to four counts of unlawfully obtaining controlled substances by fraud, deception, and subterfuge.

Police in Columbia County were called at around 3:45 p.m. Thursday, May 4, with reports that a woman’s SUV had been stolen in Hudson, near Warren and 5th streets, according to Hudson Police.
Fortunately for the victim, she has an app on her phone that allowed investigators to track the vehicle right to the suspect’s doorstep.

An accused drug dealer was busted for a second time following a year-long investigation in Fairfield County.
Donald "Showbizz" Flamer, age 42, of Norwalk, was arrested on Tuesday, Feb. 7 following the execution of search warrants at his Norwalk home on Ely Avenue, said Lt. Joe Dinho, of the Norwalk Police.
The warrants are the result of a year-long investigation into continuing narcotics trafficking by Flamer who is currently out on bond from a Wednesday, April 13, 2022, narcotics arrest, Dinho said.
