Dad Killed, Brothers Critical After Crane Fall In Philly: Fund Says
More than $17,000 has been raised for the family of a 47-year-old HVAC worker and father of three killed in a fall from a cherry-picker crane on Friday, Sept. 6 in West Philadelphia.
The oldest of three brothers on the crane, Tuan Vuong, died en route to the hospital, according to a GoFundMe campaign.
"Our three cousins Tuan Vuong, Wei Vuong, and Nguyen Vuong were involved in a devastating construction accident in West Philadelphia," GoFundMe campaign organizers Crystal Mai and Linh Mai wrote. "A crane collapsed onto their work van, leaving them severely injured."

Friends and family are remembering two victims of a Long Island Sound boat crash that killed three and sent six others to the hospital in Connecticut.
New London County residents Ian Duchemin, age 25, of Oakdale, and Ryan D. Britagna, age 24, of Waterford, were killed on Monday, Sept. 2, when their boat hit the break wall at the mouth of the Connecticut River, the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said. Work Nears Completion On 27-Story Apartment Tower In New Rochelle
The superstructure of a 27-story luxury apartment tower located in the downtown area of a Westchester County city has been completed.
The topping off of 33 Westchester Place in downtown New Rochelle, a tower that will contain 315 luxury apartments, was held on Monday, Aug. 19, according to developer Allstate Ventures.
Work on the 27-story tower originally began in May 2023. When it is completed, the development will have 110 studios, 161 one-bedroom units, and 44 two-bedroom units.
