It took less than 24 hours for detectives in Northern Virginia to track down a man wanted for robbing a church, police say.
Akuamoa Boateng, 30, didn't make it far after targeting a Fairfax County church, breaking in through a rear sliding glass door and fleeing with a vehicle from the parish.
According to the Fairfax County Police Department, officers were called around 10 a.m. on Friday, April 23, to the 4900 block of Ox Road, where there was a reported burglary.

A 66-year-old woman has been reported missing in Valley Stream, Nassau County Police said.
Lisa Bieri was last seen on Sunday, June 22 around 7 a.m. on West Valley Stream Boulevard, according to the Missing Persons Squad. Police say she was reported missing the following evening, on Monday, June 23 at 6:54 p.m.
Bieri is described as white, 5 feet 4 inches tall, 120 pounds, with gray hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue top and a gray skirt.
Detectives believe she may have been heading to a local church or juice bar, according to the department.

A 49-year-old Maryland man was found guilty of gunning down a Connecticut father of three in 2020, authorities said.
Rashad Hardy was found guilty on Aug. 28 of murder, carrying a pistol with a permit, and criminal possession of a firearm, the Connecticut State Attorney's Office said.
Hardy was convicted of killing Ricky Newton, age 36, of New Haven, on Rosette Street in July 2020, police said.

Police have identified the three people found shot to death inside a Western Massachusetts home as a mother, her son, and her domestic partner.
Sima Pariseau, age 56, Dylan Pariseau, age 27, and Peter Donaldson, age 56, were found dead Tuesday morning, June 18, after police were called to perform a welfare check, the Hampden District Attorney's Office said.
Police saw Donaldson's body through a window and forced their way inside. They found Sima and her son in the basement. Both had been shot multiple times.
