Woman Rescued After Buildings Collapse During Storm In Poughkeepsie
A woman who had been trapped for several hours was pulled from the rubble by rescuers Monday night after a building collapsed onto two others in Poughkeepsie. Rotanya Hargrove was alert and conscious when she was rescued at about 8 p.m., nearly four hours after a vacant, seven-story building collapsed onto two other buildings during a severe thunderstorm with gusty winds. Section Of Building Collapses, Falls Into River In Fairfield County
A building partially collapsed in Shelton on Tuesday afternoon, sending debris careening into the Housatonic River below. First responders were dispatched to 281 Canal St. at approximately 12:20 p.m. on Tuesday, May 29, when a building partially collapsed with a section of the rear of the structure collapsing into the river. Police said that the building was vacant at the time of the collapse, and no injuries were reported. No One Injured When Part Of Park Ridge Ceiling Collapses
PARK RIDGE, N.J. — (UPDATE) The driver of a FedEx truck got out OK after a rear ceiling of the Hertz Building in Park Ridge collapsed Tuesday night, responders said. The 75-by-75-foot section toppled above a rear loading dock at the Brae Boulevard building after a frozen water pipe burst around 6 p.m., they said.
