Police in Suffolk County are attempting to locate a pair of suspects who allegedly used a stolen credit card to spend more than $1,200 in items in Lake Grove. Investigators said that a man and woman used a stolen credit card to make purchases at Bed Bath & Beyond at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3. The pair later attempted to use the card at the Apple store in the Smith Haven Mall, but were declined. According to police, the card had been stolen from a purse in a shopping cart at Stop & Shop in Centereach approximately an hour before the illegal purchases. …
