A fundraiser has been launched to support the daughters of a Maryland CNA and mother of three who was killed in a Stewartstown Borough home before it caught fire.
Jennifer Troch, 41, and Michael Shores Jr., 54, both of the first block of North Main Street, were found unconscious on the second floor of a burning home at 2 North Main Street on Sunday, Aug. 3. What began as a cross-country motorcycle adventure for a group of Maryland friends took a devastating turn when one rider, John Dant, was seriously injured in a crash and left stranded nearly 1,200 miles from home.
Dant and six friends left Maryland on July 25 for “the motorcycle trip of a lifetime,” his friends said, though it took an unexpectedly tragic turn.
