Police officers were able to apprehend the driver of Audi who allegedly beat another man with a 2x4 following a road-rage incident in Fairfield County.
Deon Mitchell, age 36, was arrested after the incident began around 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 26, in Norwalk.
Police officers were dispatched to the area of the Merritt 7 Train Station at 84 Glover Ave., on a report of a disturbance where a man was allegedly assaulting another man with a 2x4, said Norwalk PD Sgt. Sofia Gulino.

A Fairfield County man has admitted to his role in a car theft ring in Connecticut and neighboring states.
Christopher Mulkern, also known as “Chucky,” age 21, of Stratford, pleaded guilty Friday, April 30 before US District Court in Bridgeport to a federal car theft offense.
According to court documents and statements made in court, the FBI, Connecticut State Police, and local police have been investigating multiple car theft rings in Connecticut, and violent crimes that are being committed using stolen vehicles.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 30 in Centereach.
Ant’Wan Pevy, age 25, of Ronkonkoma, was driving a 2011 Kia sedan northbound on Nicolls Road when he suffered a medical event that caused him to lose control of the vehicle, Suffolk County Police said.
The Kia struck a 2016 Nissan SUV being operated by Zachary Morrison, 29, of Holbrook, that was westbound at the traffic light at the intersection of Middle Country Road and Nicolls Road, according to police.

A Fairfield County police department is reporting that four vehicles have been stolen out of driveways over the past four days.
The thefts took place between Thursday, Nov. 5, and Monday, Nov. 9, in New Canaan, said New Canaan Police Chief Leon Krolikowski.
According to Krolikowski, around 9 a.m., Friday, Nov. 6, officers responded to Clapboard Hill Road to investigate a report of two motor vehicles missing from the resident's driveway.
