21 People Arrested After Graffiti Causes $500K Damage: Hanover Twp PD
Hanover Township police are cracking down on graffiti.
The department announced 21 people have been arrested and charged after graffiti caused $500,000 in damage over the past few years on on buildings, businesses, public property, railroad property, bridges, and various other locations in Hanover Township.
Identifying and charging suspects allows a victim to recover financial assistance in the form of restitution to make repairs, police said.

Convicted Felons Busted With Guns, Drugs, Cash Near Waldorf Businesses: Sheriff
Two convicted felons tied to drug trafficking outside a busy strip of Maryland businesses were busted with guns, ammo, and cannabis, according to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the Neighborhood Enforcement Team launched an investigation in June 2025 after repeated complaints about drug trafficking in the 300 block of Smallwood Drive in Waldorf.
On Wednesday, Aug. 13, investigators observed 39-year-old Diontay Hattix of Waldorf and 28-year-old Domanic Marks-Wiggins of Washington, DC, engaged in what appeared to be a drug sale in a parking lot, officials said.

Philly Men Had Stolen Gun, Hollow-Point Bullets: North Wildwood PD
A 35-year-old Philadelphia man was arrested and charged with possessing a firearm in North Wildwood, authorities announced Monday, Aug. 18.
On Saturday, Aug. 14, officers received information a group of people were in possession of a gun near 23rd Avenue and the boardwalk, North Wildwood police said. Paul Volpe was found to be in possession of a Sig Sauer P290 .380, which was stolen out of Pennsylvania, police said. Three people were recently arrested and charged in Fairfield on weapons related charges, authorities announced Friday, Aug. 15.
On Friday, Aug. 8 at 9:29 a.m., officers spotted a dark colored Dodge Charger exit the Ramada at 28 Two Bridges Rd. so fast, it spun its tires and left marks on the roadway, Fairfield police said.
