A longtime North Jersey Stop & Shop store has shuttered, NorthJersey.com reports. The "difficult" decision to close the Route 17 store in Paramus was made from a financial perspective after a review of store performance, a Stop & Shop communications manager told the news outlet. The store was an Acme in the 1980s and a Grand Union in the 1990s, before Stop & Shop took over in the early 2000s, according to the Acme Style Blog. Stolen Autos Reported In Central Jersey
There were a couple of reports of stolen vehicles In Central Jersey. One came out of Middletown about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and involved a blue 2020 BMW, initial reports said. An unconfirmed report said that it was taken from an Acme lot on Newman Springs Road. The second report of a stolen came out of Red Bank about 2:15 p.m. The Investigation is still ongoing at this time and the vehicle has not yet been recovered, Cpl. Man Wanted For Throwing Rocks At Bala Cynwyd Storefronts: Police
Police are seeking the public's help identifying a suspect caught on surveillance video smashing rocks at several Bala Cynwyd storefronts last week. The man was seen on the footage smashing the front window of the Acme at the Bala Cynwyd Shopping Center around 1:45 a.m. on Oct. 27, according to the Lower Merion Police Department. Delaware County Police Seek ID For Acme Grocery Thief
Police in Delaware County are seeking the public's help identifying a woman who they say stole $100 worth of groceries from a local Acme store. Surveillance footage shows who police describe as a "white female" entering the store stealing 12 pork tenderloins and one bag of apples totaling $102.58, around 4:50 p.m. on Jan. 21 at the 124 Morton Ave. location in Folsom, according to the Ridley Township Police Department.
